After an absence of over 30 years, the American woman behind one of the strangest sex scandals of the 1970s returned to the front pages last week: as the owner of the first ever cloned pet dog.
Joyce McKinney captivated tabloid readers in 1977, when she followed her former lover, a Mormon, to England, kidnapped him at gunpoint, shackled him to a bed and forced him to have sex with her, before fleeing to Canada disguised as a mime artist. Little more was heard of her until a women calling herself Bernmann McKinney appeared in the news with her cloned pit bulls.

These 27 masterpieces were created by Thomas Lanigan-Schmidt (born 1948, New Jersey, USA) in his New York apartment in April 1999. They were shot on a disposable Konica 35mm camera with flash, which I gave him with instructions ‘To Make a Movie!’
